DIFF 2017: Rememory

Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones) returns to the big screen as a man looking for answers linked to a memory machine in Rememory. Dinklage is Sam Bloom, a man with his own troubled past who gets involved with the investigation of the death of inventor Gordon Dunn, played by Martin Donovan. The search for the truth takes him to the doorstep of Gordon’s wife Carolyn (Julia Ormond) and one of Gordon’s “customers”, the very intense Todd (Anton Yelchin).

Rememory is dark, thoughtful and its strength lies in the talented players and their reactions to the their memories. There are questions of ethics and morality surrounding the controversial machine. Is it a good idea to capture unfiltered memories?

Director and co-writer Mark Palansky (A Series of Unfortunate Events) and producer Lee Clay walk through story development and the talent involved, including a discussion about Yelchin who died in June 2016 in a freak car accident.

The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and had its Texas premiere at the Dallas International Film Festival.
