“It’s so easy to manipulate an audience, but it’s nearly always clear that you are being manipulated. I think even people that are not critically attuned are aware of cynical manipulation in film.”  –  John Boorman

Coffee beans in the shape of an old movie projector for displaying cinema.

ESPRESSO – Strong dark-roast good enough to keep you thinking about it long after you’ve finished your cup. In filmspeak, this is as good as it gets.

CAPPUCCINO – A popular sweet and milky treat. This film is good enough for the masses but films snobs will also appreciate.

AMERICANO – Middle-of-the-road caffeinated beverage you can take on the road. Don’t spend too much on this film. Best to see the matinee.

MACCHIATO – More like “meh-chiato.” Like this drink, this film is either all over the place, a rehash of every other film in its genre and lacks surprises. But still, maybe a guilty pleasure. Wait for the DVD.

DECAF – Why even bother? This is not even real coffee. Best to skip this film.
